Undoubtedly your head must be whirling from all the information on our site. That's understandable, ours is too. But just in case you have any lingering queries, we've included some answers to questions we've received in the past. Fret not, we're here for you.
May we suggest a drink to perk up your spirits before we continue? Lovely.
PRODUCTS
Q: Where can I find your products outside of the distillery?
A: In addition to luxuriating on the shelves of fine bars and restaurants across NJ, our bottles can be found in liquor stores throughout our great state. To find local retailer click where we’re carried. We hope to be distributed in NY soon, with expanding presence thereafter. If your favourite place doesn't yet carry Corgi, it would be an unquestioned act of wisdom and intellect to suggest us to them. And we would appreciate the leg up. You're looking particularly gorgeous today, by the way.
Q: Are you able to ship your products directly to me?
A: Alas, right now the law prevents us from shipping any products directly to consumers. But we believe that having fabulous spirits delivered to your door at the snap of your fingers is a right worth fighting for! That's why we've partnered with some brilliant legal minds who are pushing to change the law so we can ship bottles to all of our adoring fans, wherever they may live.
Q: Does your Earl Grey Gin contain caffeine?
A: Our hearts flutter enough from our love of gin, we're not sure they could handle caffeine as well! Rest assured that there is no caffeine in our products — our distillation process only extracts the flavours of the Earl Grey tea. We'll get our pulses racing through other means, thank you very much.
Q: Are your products really gluten-free?
A: They certainly are. You've found your new, perfectly pourable companion.
Q: Do you only make spirits?
A: Yes we do, hence the name Corgi Spirits. Spirits are our passion (in addition to dogs). We believe that, in the same way that people can transform humble ingredients into alcohol, so too can alcohol transform people. And, for us, spirits are the most magical, alchemical, and versatile form of alcoholic beverage — they put personality in punches, character in cocktails, and perfectly proffer the proper proof for providing a pinch of panache.
THE DISTILLERY & LOCATION
Q: Do you serve food at the distillery?
A: We host local food trucks outside our distillery Friday through Sunday.
Q: Are dogs allowed at the distillery?
A: Yes, we allow dogs outside at the distillery during the more temperate months, and we would love to meet your pup! Alas, the sticklers at the health code office won't let our furry friends indoors. Please note that we are unable to serve any alcohol outside, so it does make it a bit difficult to bring your pet and enjoy our spirits at the same time.
Q: Are children allowed at the distillery?
A: While we encourage parents to take some time to themselves and enjoy a date night or day date here without their kids, we understand the difficulty that sometimes takes to organize. We do allow guests under 21 on site on Saturdays and Sundays until 6pm, however they must be accompanied by an adult of legal drinking age. All underage guests will have their hands stamped to indicate to bartenders and staff that they are not of legal drinking age, and no underage guest is permitted to consume any alcohol under any circumstances.
Q: Do you have an outdoor space?
A: We do, but please note that we are not allowed to serve alcohol outside right now. We will petition the state alcohol board in a few months for permission to have drinks outside during the warmer months.
Q: Is smoking allowed at the distillery?
A: You're barking mad. No. No smoking anywhere on the property, including outside.
Q: Am I required to take a tour in order to try your products?
A: At the moment, yes, NJ state law demands it. We are however in the process of working with our phenomenal local legislators to amend the statutes to make tours optional, so that you can stop in and grab a cocktail without having to do the whole song and dance with us (even though it truly is a lovely song and dance).
THE TASTING ROOM
Q: Are tastings available?
A: We offer our guests a tasting of three of our products for a $5 fee, however we waive the fee with our most heartfelt compliments if they purchase a bottle to take home with them.
Q: Does your cocktail menu change?
A: Absolutely! We will have some tried and true cocktails on our menu, but we will always offer spectacular specialty drinks as the seasons change.
Q: I don't drink alcohol / I'm the designated driver for the night. Do you serve non-alcoholic beverages?
A: Not all heroes wear capes, and oftentimes the praises of our teetotaling and designated driving friends go unsung. And that's a bloody shame, because you deserve it and we tip our caps to you. Please know that we have put as much attention into our Mocktails list as we did with any of our other cocktails so that you can raise a glass full of luscious liquid with your compatriots and feel right at home.
EVENTS & RESERVATIONS
Q: Do I need a reservation to visit?
A: Not at all! You're welcome to visit us at any time during normal business hours. If you have a larger group and would like to rent The Lounge or the entire distillery (for a fee) for some privacy, please reach out to us. Otherwise, please be mindful that all of our seating is on a first come/first served basis, and people do clamour for our cocktails.
Q: It's my birthday, can I host a party at your distillery?
A: YES! We would love to celebrate with you! Please contact us and we'll be happy to work out the details to reserve some space for you. Please note, however, that there is a fee to have exclusive access to our lounge for the event. EMAIL HERE
Q: Do you host weddings at the distillery?
A: Congratulations, how lovely! We'd be honored to host your wedding, so long as your headcount is no larger than our max capacity of 100. Please email us here to discuss your details.
Q: Do you host divorce parties at the distillery?
A: Yes! Out with the old! You do you now. Let's sing along to far-too-loud 90's music and sip on martinis together.
Q: Are there any other kinds of events you have?
A: The sky is the limit. Actually, our 26-foot ceiling is the limit, but that's pretty bloody high. We are planning on having plenty of additional events, and we are open to suggestions. Some of our ideas:
Corgi dog meet-ups
Dog adoption days
International gin & tonic day celebrations
National gin day
Charity galas
Yoga mornings at the distillery
